Lily Phillips, the 24-year-old British adult film star and OnlyFans creator, has shared one of the most personal moments of her life with the world — a rebaptism she describes as the beginning of a renewed relationship with God.

Phillips posted a short, emotional video to Instagram showing the moment she was immersed in water. Calm and visibly moved, she shared the clip with the on-screen text “A day to remember forever.” Within hours, the video had spread far beyond her own followers, sparking conversation across social media about faith, identity, and second chances.

Speaking to Newsweek, Phillips was clear that the rebaptism was not about appearances or public image, but about something far more personal: reconnecting with God.

“I’m really looking forward to strengthening and growing my relationship with God and

The moment has resonated with supporters and critics alike, opening a wider discussion about whether people in public life — and particularly women in adult entertainment — are allowed to be seen as more than a single label. Supporters praised Phillips for her honesty, while others debated how her public persona sits alongside her spiritual journey.

Phillips first became widely known in late 2024, when a viral OnlyFans stunt documented by YouTuber Josh Pieters thrust her into the global spotlight. Since then, she has built one of the platform’s most-followed accounts, while speaking openly about the pressures and misunderstandings that come with the work.

For now, Phillips says her focus is forward — on faith, growth, and starting conversations that go deeper than assumptions. Whether her rebaptism marks a turning point in her public life or simply a private milestone shared publicly, it has already done one thing: it has reminded the internet that behind every headline is a person still writing their own story.

opening up conversations about how OnlyFans girls are multifaceted. I hate that we are pigeonholed as 2D sex dolls; it can be really dehumanising,” she said.

She added that she knows some Christians may disagree with her “lifestyle,” but said she wants to rebuild her relationship with God on her own terms — and welcomes conversations about exploring religion in a way that’s right for each person.

For many Christians, baptism — and rebaptism as a public rededication of faith — is a deeply meaningful step, symbolising a fresh start and a conscious recommitment. In the video, Phillips appeared serene as she was gently lowered into the water, emerging to warm embraces from those around her. There was no fanfare and no production — just a quiet, personal declaration of belief.

The ceremony that broke the internet

The rebaptism itself took place on December 28, 2025 — not a press event, but a real church ceremony where Phillips appeared in a white robe as she was lowered into a church pool. The video she posted to Instagram has now been viewed more than 6 million times, a staggering audience for what was, at its core, a quiet declaration of faith. Unlike her meticulously planned viral stunts, there was no production team, no monetized angle — just Phillips, surrounded by people embracing her as she emerged from the water.

The rebaptism carried extra weight because of where Phillips comes from spiritually. She told the Daily Star she was baptised as a baby and grew up in an actively Christian household: her family went to church throughout her childhood, and they even have a relative who is a vicar. Her adult baptism, then, was a deliberate return rather than a new discovery — a conscious recommitment after what she described to the Daily Star as years in which her relationship with God “kind of deviated for quite a bit of time.”

What pushed her back to faith

Speaking to US Weekly, Phillips pointed to personal hardship as the catalyst. “I hadn’t really practised faith for a while,” she admitted. “I just wanted to get rebaptised to kind of reinstate my relationship with God.” It is the kind of unguarded statement her critics don’t expect from someone whose name became shorthand for shock-value content: she isn’t marketing a rebrand, she says — she is asking for grace to rebuild something she let slip.

Phillips has also been candid that she is not pretending to be a traditional believer. She has said she supports gay marriage and abortion rights — positions many conservative Christians would find incompatible with her claims of faith — but insists belief is personal and the conversation should stay open. “I think we should be welcoming all conversations and opportunities for people to explore religion in a way that’s right for them,” she said.

The stunts behind the name — and the pivot beyond them

To understand why the baptism landed so hard, it helps to remember how Phillips became famous. In late 2024 she documented sleeping with 101 men in 14 hours for Josh Pieters’ YouTube documentary I Slept With 100 Men in One Day, breaking down in tears on camera after completing the challenge. Then in June 2025 she claimed to have been with 1,113 men in 12 hours — the bid for a “world record” that drew outrage and raised serious concerns about her health.

But Phillips says that era is behind her. “It has definitely taken a back seat,” she told the Daily Star of her adult content work, adding that she is “just trying to prioritise other things” going into 2026. There are no big viral challenges planned; instead, she wants to explore TV presenting or reality shows. Whether the industry that made her name will let her leave — and whether the faithful who now embrace her will accept the whole of who she is — remains the open question she seems happiest to live with.
