Kris Jenner just pulled a look straight out of Hollywood history — and the internet can’t decide whether to applaud or attack her for it.

The momager, 70, swooped into the “All’s Fair” Season 2 premiere at the Rome Film Festival on Saturday, wrapped in Elizabeth Taylor’s velvet scorpion cape.

Jenner styled the piece with white gloves peeking out from under long white cuffs, a diamond lariat necklace strung with dozens of pear-shaped stones, plus diamond shooting star earrings, over a floor-length white gown.

A cape with a 1969 history

The cape is no ordinary vintage piece. Roman couture house Tiziani created the black velvet cape, which features diamond scorpions on the chest, for Elizabeth Taylor.

Taylor wore it in 1969 to Princess Grace’s 40th birthday, a Scorpio-themed party in Monaco.

Jenner now owns the Hollywood relic — it last sold publicly at Christie’s in 2011, fetching $74,500 in a sale of Taylor’s personal collection, according to a press release sent to Page Six Style.

Fans already got a glimpse of it on daughter Kim Kardashian, who wore it while filming season 2 of Ryan Murphy’s Hulu drama “All’s Fair.”

“Fun fact about the cape my mom is wearing. It belonged to Elizabeth Taylor, and my mom now owns it and graciously let me wear it in All’s Fair,” Kim, 46, wrote on Instagram Stories after the premiere.

“After Ryan Murphy heard the story of Elizabeth Taylor wearing it to Grace Kelly’s Scorpion Ball, naturally, he made sure to write an episode about Allura Grant throwing her own Scorpion Ball,” she continued, referring to her character on the show, which returns November 4. “I’m the luckiest girl to have borrowed it from my mom.”

Fans slam the “dead celebrities’ clothes” habit

Not everyone liked Jenner’s look. After a side-by-side photo comparing Jenner’s look to Taylor’s original outfit surfaced on Instagram, social media users were quick to share their opinions.

“Why can’t they just wear their own stuff instead of desecrating all the clothing items that real icons have actually worn,” one user commented.

“There is something very weird about being obsessed with wearing dead people’s clothes,” another critic wrote.

However, not everyone shared the criticism — some fans came to Jenner’s defense and praised her glamorous appearance, with one admirer calling the 70-year-old momager “gorgeous” and another gushing that she looked “stunning.”

Her 30-year-old affair explodes in Kim’s new book

The cape isn’t the only reason Kris Jenner is trending this week. Her decades-old affair is also back in the headlines thanks to Kim’s new authorized biography, “Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future,” which comes out in the U.S. on October 27.

The book’s author, Jonathan Van Meter, said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Kim called him a couple of months earlier after visiting Khloé’s house, where Khloé told her Kris had erupted while filming “The Kardashians.”

According to Van Meter, Kris yelled, “Why did Kim drag us all into this? Why is my affair from 30 years ago in the book?”

Van Meter claimed that “two days later,” the matriarch “was fine” — but added, “It’s going to be on the show,” referencing the family’s Hulu series, now in its eighth season.

Kim’s response to her mother, as relayed by Van Meter: “All this stuff gets written about us, and then a guy comes along who gets us and wants to explain us. Why wouldn’t you want that?”
