Former adult film performer Brittni De La Mora is speaking publicly about her years in the adult entertainment industry, describing a period marked by addiction, severe emotional struggles and a growing sense that she needed to leave the business.
In a recent interview with The Sun, De La Mora reflected on the experiences that eventually led her to walk away from the industry in 2012. She said she entered adult entertainment at the age of 18 and later struggled with substances including heroin, cocaine and crystal meth.

According to De La Mora, her problems went far beyond the work itself. She described a period in which she experienced serious mental-health difficulties and suicidal thoughts, saying she once believed she would not live beyond the age of 25. These are her personal recollections of that period.
Why Brittni De La Mora Left Porn
De La Mora has previously explained that she spent around seven years working in adult entertainment before finally leaving.
She has described a turning point in 2012 while travelling on a plane and reading the Bible. According to her account, the experience caused her to reconsider the direction of her life. She subsequently decided to leave the industry.
In a 2026 podcast appearance, she recalled going back to a set after making the decision and telling people there that she believed it would be her final performance. She said the experience felt very different from her previous work because of the conviction she was experiencing at the time.

Her Concerns About the Modern Online Adult Industry
De La Mora has also criticized aspects of today’s creator-based adult-content economy.
In her recent interview, she argued that platforms such as OnlyFans have made it easier for large numbers of people to enter the adult-content business without the same structures that existed in traditional production environments.
She also raised concerns about some management agencies and alleged that certain creators can become vulnerable to controlling intermediaries. These statements reflect De La Mora’s perspective; OnlyFans has rejected claims that it ignores creator safety and has said that user safety is taken seriously.
She further expressed concerns about health protections and what she sees as increasing pressure to produce increasingly extreme content in order to attract attention online.
From Adult Entertainment to Ministry Work
Today, De La Mora’s public career is very different.

According to Love Always Ministries, she is now an author, evangelist and advocate who works with women seeking to leave the sex industry. She and her husband, Richard De La Mora, founded Love Always Ministries in 2020.
The organization says its work includes courses, podcasts, books and outreach aimed at helping people leave pornography and pursue a different direction in life. De La Mora also participates in outreach to people working in the adult industry.
Her own website biography says she appeared in more than 250 adult-film roles before leaving the industry.
A Story of Regret and Reinvention
De La Mora’s story has become notable because she is not simply discussing her former career from a distance. She has repeatedly used her own experiences—including addiction and struggles with mental health—to explain why she believes some people can find themselves trapped in an industry they initially entered for money, attention or validation.
Her recent comments have once again placed the discussion around performer welfare, addiction, online adult-content platforms and the long-term consequences of decisions made early in adulthood into the spotlight.
While her account represents her personal experience and views, it offers a perspective from someone who spent years inside the industry before choosing to leave it.
Today, De La Mora presents her life after pornography as a story of recovery, faith and a new career dedicated to helping others make a similar transition.
