Knicks Star OG Anunoby’s “Fly You to NYC” DM Leaks — Fans Say She Fumbled the Bag

New York Knicks star OG Anunoby is going viral for all the wrong reasons — a leaked Instagram DM shows the NBA forward shooting his shot with a blunt message: “hey let me fly you to nyc.”

The screenshot, sent from Anunoby’s verified Instagram account (@oanunoby), was posted online by the woman herself — and the internet has had a field day ever since. WorldStarHipHop picked up the story, declaring that “folks are saying she fumbled the bag.”

Social media is split down the middle. One camp says the woman fumbled a golden opportunity by leaking a private message from a wealthy NBA star instead of taking the trip. The other camp defends her right to expose the DM, while others defend Anunoby as a single man making a normal, straightforward approach.

The clip has racked up tens of thousands of views, with commenters debating everything from dating etiquette to whether “let me fly you out” is romance or a red flag in 2026.

Anunoby, one of the Knicks’ key two-way players, has not publicly commented on the leaked message.

The Woman Behind the Screenshot: Tampa Creator Erika Calabrese

The leaker has a name: Erika Calabrese, a Tampa-based adult content creator who stands about 4 feet tall and has dwarfism. She posted the video herself, captioning it with the question that detonated the whole story: “Should I let him?”

The clip first exploded through the gossip account sportbimb0, which presented the screenshot as a DM from the verified @oanunoby account — time-stamped 4:01 p.m., from an account with roughly 859,000 followers. The two accounts don’t follow each other. Within hours, the clip pulled more than 2.7 million views, around 7,600 likes and nearly 700 quote posts, per BlackSportsOnline.

The Part Everyone Skips: Nobody Has Confirmed It’s Real

Buried in the frenzy is an inconvenient fact: the authenticity of the screenshots has never been independently confirmed. The original post itself said Anunoby had only “seemingly been spotted” in her DMs — and sportbimb0’s own bio warns that everything it posts is alleged and shouldn’t be taken as factual. BlackSportsOnline reported it could not verify the images either.

And the two people who could settle it? Silent. Anunoby has not publicly addressed the exchange, and the Knicks have not commented.

Skeptics have piled on the packaging: Calabrese on camera, a lingerie still, Anunoby in his No. 8 jersey — a clip assembled a little too cleanly to feel like a raw leak. If the DM is fake, the internet’s charge is blunt: clout chasing.

Gilbert Arenas Weighs In: “Your Business Is Using My Name”

The story grew big enough to reach Gilbert Arenas, who tore into it on his “We Said What We Said” show — and his sympathy was not with the leaker.

“I don’t like the idea of, like, someone slides in your DM… because I’m famous… I’m a champion… so your business is using my name,” Arenas said. “I don’t like getting exposed.”

His argument: plenty of guys could slide into those DMs and nobody would care. The screenshot only has value because of the famous name on the account.

She Posted It — She’s the One Taking the Heat

BlackSportsOnline nailed the internet’s twisted logic: the reaction split into two camps, and both of them landed on her. If the messages are real, she blocked her own blessings — a private offer to be flown to New York by a Knicks starter is, in that reading, the bag, and posting it is how the bag gets snatched. If they’re fake, she’s a creator accused of borrowing a champion’s name for views.

Calabrese has said this kind of inbox isn’t new for her. In a 2025 interview, she said married celebrities were among the people messaging her, that fly-out offers were a regular part of the DMs — and that some of the attention treats her like a bucket-list item.

The Loudest Possible Timing

The leak landed at the peak of Anunoby’s fame. He’s fresh off helping the Knicks win the 2026 NBA championship — their first in 53 years — with his Game 4 game-winning putback against the Spurs now franchise lore, and he went viral again last month with a straight-faced Saturday Night Live cameo alongside Jalen Brunson.

Championships, SNL, and now a viral DM scandal. Just another week in New York.
